Holy ripoff! I posted the sweet Lakai Fully Flared Intro that Spike Jonze did a while ago. It seems, that I wasn’t the only one who thought it was awesome. Turns out BBDO Mexico in conjunction with Distrito films liked it enough that they decided to whole-heartedly rip it off, down to the storyboards and actual pulled frames from the Lakai video. Great spot for EA’s new game Mercenaries 2 done by Shilo for DraftFCB. Music was done by the Wojahn Brothers. There is an alternate track on the Directors cut version, but I personally like the broadcast version just a little bit better.

This is a great little film directed by Josh Raskin, which is basically an audio recording, set to animation of a then 14 year old boy who snuck into John Lennons hotel room and conducted an interview. Very nice work. The site is here
